Jukai: Lay Ordination, April 19

On Saturday, April 19, preceptors Shosan Victoria Austin and Anshin Rosalie Curtis held a jukai, or lay ordination ceremony, in which lay students took vows of ethical conduct in accordance with traditional Buddhist principles. Rosalie’s dharma talk earlier that morning explained jukai in greater detail. Congratulations to these new bodhisattvas!
