“A Rumi Celebration,” an evening of poetry, music, and dance inspired by Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi, the great mystic poet and philosopher of the 13th century. Music and Dances of Universal Peace led by David Casselman, Vivian Tucciarone, and Joe Shakarchi, and other guests from the Sufi community.

Please bring Rumi poems to share.

This event is offered free of charge, but donations are welcome.

*Persian Dinner at 6:30pm is by donation. Persian tea will be served as well. Suggested donation: $10

*Program highlights:

  • Santoor (Persian stringed instrument) by Vahid Bagheri
  • Musical rendering of Rumi’s Lyrics by Simin Yahaghi
  • Poetic recitation of Rumi’s poems and “sepas”; body expression of open gratitude through Meditative Qigong movement by Dr. Sonia Gaemi
