Twenty practitioners representing over 10 different sanghas gathered for a three-day sesshin October 28-30.
Led by Dharma Heirs Cynthia Kear and Sarita Tamayo-Moraga, the sesshin intentionally fell on the birthday weekend of their late, beloved teacher Darlene Cohen (Su Rei Ken Po, Great Spirit Manifesting Dharma), who was fondly remembered in the Sejiki Ceremony.
This first annual Autumnal Light sesshin was held at Jikoji Zen Center, which is nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Palo Alto. These dharma friends gathered to rest in the refuge of zazen, body to body practice and sangha in this beautiful center founded by Kobun Chino.
