Benjis: Your Poems, Please!

Dear Fellow Benjis of Yore,

Still have your scribbled poetry stuck in a drawer somewhere? Why not let it live a little beyond that one shuso ceremony?

Help us gather a collection for the SFZC archive and for possible inclusion in the upcoming Zen Center 50 Wind Bell issue (space permitting).

Please include as much of the following as you can:

  • Poem
  • Practice Period Season/Date
  • Practice Center
  • Name of Benji/Shuso/Practice Period Leader

And send, at your earliest convenience, to: alumnieditor@sfzc.org

Thank you!

    silently shine on

    pointing fingers wagging tongues

    everpresent moon

    o beholden beholding !

    beyond words yet ever sung

    on the mountainside

    white-tipped winter saguaro

    heralding spring bloom

Oops, misspelled my own last name on previous post, sorry! That’s “Filippenko” with just two p’s (not three! ;-) Thank you again.
