Just Sitting on Inauguration Day: January 20

An afternoon of Just Sitting, Friday, January 20, 1 – 5:15 pm
At San Francisco Zen Center, 300 Page Street

Led by Tova Green and Lisa Hoffman

In recognition of this time of change in our political and social landscape, and the need for many to connect to a place of refuge, harmony, and equanimity, we offer a half-day of sitting and practice. Sitting in silence with others may help us clarify our path to find an appropriate response, both on a personal level and a societal level.

The afternoon will include alternating periods of sitting and walking meditation, and a closing circle. Meditation instruction will be offered. You are welcome to participate in part or all of the afternoon schedule. You are invited to join the regular evening meditation at 5:40pm that follows and stay for dinner (by donation) at a reserved table.

This afternoon of sitting is also an expression of support for the Women’s March on Washington on January 21 and is open to everyone.

There is no fee for this event. Dana will be gratefully accepted.
