Resident Position Open for SFZC Online Program Coordinator

You will work at the heart of SFZC’s program department and will be responsible for supporting SFZC online program offerings—online courses, online practice periods, year-long programs. These programs are an important entry point to the teachings, help to maintain connection with far-flung members, and contribute to the financial well-being of SFZC. The online program coordinator reports to the program director and collaborates with a variety of internal SFZC functional areas, including course instructors (who are typically senior teachers), reservations department, finance department, communications department, and IT department. An integral part of the job is cultivating relationships with people throughout Zen Center and the wider community.

If you have been considering taking a sabbatical to enliven your practice, consider (re)joining our residential community as an online program coordinator. This is a wonderful opportunity to return to residential practice and to strengthen your work practice skills in a temple environment. This position is designed for someone looking to live in our residential community at City Center and participate in the daily schedule, including zazen, lectures, classes, one-day sittings and sesshins. You will receive room and board, as well as a stipend.

See here for a more detailed job description.

Please submit your resume via email, including a brief description of your Zen practice and reasons for being interested in joining our residential community, to: programdirector@sfzc.org.
