Congratulations and thanks to Nancy Petrin for serving as shuso for the Fall 2014 Practice Period at City Center, led by City Center Abiding Abbot Rinso Ed Sattizahn. Nancy is pictured below after the Shuso Ceremony on Saturday, December 6, which closed the practice period at the end of Rohatsu Sesshin. Several at the ceremony expressed that Nancy would be missed as a resident, though she continues to have a daily presence and offer her talents to the sangha in her position as a manager in the Development Department.

Oh Nancy, how wonderful. I don’t think I received an invitation (or maybe I did and missed it). I am moved by the pictures and congratulate you – a wonderful milestone in your years of sincere practice.
    With respect,
    Jim

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful Nancy. Along with many others, you help keep SFZC’s lamp lighted up bright and shiny, with your glowing face and smile. Thank you for being shuso.. Love, Lee

That Rakasu she’s wearing is a bit threadbare, someone should make her a new one
