Volunteer with Kids in the Green Gulch Garden and Farm

Would you like to explore the life of a bee through the eyes of a child, visit a beehive, and taste a drop of honey on a sorrel leaf? Would you enjoy digging through the compost pile and teaching a child what plants need in order to grow? Come join our team of environmental educators and learn to guide small groups of school children through the garden and farm at Green Gulch.

The Green Gulch Farm Docent Training Program trains volunteers to participate in a nine-month program working with visiting schools from the San Francisco Bay Area on school days. We are looking for committed volunteer docents to lead small groups of kindergarten-6th grade children in late spring through late autumn.

To enroll for training or for questions, contact the Green Gulch Office at 415.354.0411, or Sukey Parmelee at 415.354.0432. Thank you.
