“Feeding the Hunger in All of Us” Food Drive

As a special complement to this year’s Sejiki Ceremony, City Center is inviting sangha members to bring a non-perishable food item to donate.

This food donation is intended as an expression of feeding the hunger in all of us—for both our internal “hungry ghosts” that are in need of the nourishment that comes when we express generosity and gratitude, as well as addressing very real hunger facing many people, as close as nearby neighbors. This special food drive will extend beyond Sejiki and include Zen Center’s yearly food collection at Thanksgiving. All food collected during this period will be donated to a local charity organization. You may leave your non-perishable food donations in the City Center front lobby.
