A Request for Help

Eugene Cash, the founding teacher of the San Francisco Insight Meditation Community of San Francisco, recently suffered a traumatic brain injury as the result of a bicycle accident bicycle accident and, though he remains in serious condition, he will soon be leaving the hospital.

As he is healing, his family is in great need of help in the form of caregivers who can provide 6-8 hour shifts and/or overnight care with possible trade for room and board for up to six months. Caregiving will include basic patient supervision, including help with feeding, administering medicines, mobility, toileting, and bathing. Past experience with in-home caregiving is a must; any experience working with a brain injury is a plus. Eugene responds well to clarity, calm, kindness and patience.
