VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
We are currently seeking volunteers for various activities, including decorating the float, monitoring the safety of the contingent (as required by parade organizers), and carrying the banner. Please contact Jeffrey Schneider, Outreach Coordinator, at outreach@sfzc.org or 415.354.0379 if you are interested in volunteering for this event.

Pride Parade Float

We are looking for a flatbed truck (ideally with a 16 foot bed) for use as Zen Center’s float in this year’s Pride Parade. If you have such a vehicle and are willing to lend it for the day (June 26), please get in touch with Volunteer Coordinator, Jeffrey Schneider at either 415.354.0379 or outreach@sfzc.org. We will be happy to pick it up and return it (decorations optional).

Participate by walking or riding in the parade with the SFZC float or by volunteering to help with the preparations. The group will leave from City Center on the morning of the 26th at 9:00 am.

For those who would prefer to meet at the starting location of the parade, we will post the Contingent # and meeting location soon. Please arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 am.

The approximate schedule for Sunday, June 26 is as follows:

9:00 am    Depart from City Center to Downtown
Walk in the Parade
3:00 pm    Return to City Center
3:30 pm    Clean up
4:00 pm    Meditation at 300 Page Street with Larry Yang from East Bay Meditation Center and Tova Green from SFZC
